Filmed about 3:30p on Wed 10/21/09 - this is in the Santa Barbara channel - about 13 miles S. of Santa Barbara harbor. These are Pacific white-sided dolphins, ( en.wikipedia.org - a pod of about 25 or so zooming around the boat. The sailboat is a Catalina 42 and we were sailing to Santa Cruz island in the Channel islands off-shore from Santa Barbara. The sail-boat was a charter from Santa Barbara Sailing Center ( www.sbsail.com ) -- good fun.
