TheDarkOfNight: Hmm? This is the prelude now? How is this the Prelude? It doesn't sound CLOSE to it. I thought it was called "Resistance"?

Darkenigma28: "Resistance" was the temporary name. Obviously this isn't the classic FF prelude, but rather a unique theme all together.

Darkenigma28: Go to the official OST site that was just launched. The first track is entitled "Final Fantasy XIII Prelude" which is the official name of the song featured here. Although it's in Japanese, this new name was confirmed by Japanese translators at FinalFantasy-FXIII(dot)net.

TheDarkOfNight: Hmm... I guess it is unique all in it's own. But it still is strange that they didn't follow the same pattern as all other FFs by making the actual Prelude...

Littlewater: I love how it builds to that beautiful fanfare section and then diminuendo back to nothing....I like this..it has a war tone like FF 12.
