Elvis Presley Love Letters BaldyHolly Video

Elvis released Love Letters as a studio album in 1971. The album itself consisted of leftover material from Elvis's marathon June 1970 recording sessions in Nashville, that had already produced two previous Gold selling albums. Love Letters however failed to crack the Billboard top twenty and only three songs were released. Elvis actually included a re-recorded version of his 1966 hit Love Letters on the album, which was a rare course of action for Presley. Presley first heard the song when it was a 1962 top ten hit for Ketty Lester.
