Roller Skate for life! (See Description box) Video
http://www.carousel-skate.com ... When the Dr. told my wife "I'll do everything I can to save him", I already had a burst appendix for 15 + hours! It was a struggle, taking a long time to recover. The Dr. told me that because I skated every week, my body was strong and helped a lot..
Then moving from So. Cal. to the Midwest, I dedicate this to the Carousel Skate Rink in Sioux Falls, South Dakota where I made all new friends and can still keep my health up.
They make me feel right at home, so I decided to make some videos that some of you may already have seen. (I fly and skate in the rink at the same time in a couple of them)
So still skating at 62, I really look forward to showing up on Wednesday nights for the fun, music, and exercise..
So in keeping with tradition, I have made this promotional video for the Rink.

NightFlyyer: Firebird Phantoms are high wings. They are also better to learn on than low wing planes, as they are more stable. I have many videos up on the Firebirds, so check them out and see for yourself, if you can handle that. Low wings will be much harder to fly, until you get rudder figured out. Let Dad watch this time and try the simulator I am flying too. See my video list.
NightFlyyer: Some rinks are pretty bad all right, but I can tell you from experience, that the Carousel is clean and tight. Come on down as you must be working so hard, you need a break. Thanks for the comments.

PyroSA: Glad to hear it helped you :) Have never seen a skating rink around here in South Africa, though we spent many a night at a local Ice Rink. The local one closed down, so the nearest one is now uncomfortably far :(

wolfnrose: Cool way to put it, that "skating saved your life"... I had a similar experience when I ruptured my intestine and docs took *5 months* of it slowly leaking before they agreed it was peritonitus just like I guessed in the first *week* of feeling crummy -- my survival attributed to how "generally" healthy and active I am. Talk about a long recovery... ugh!

forrest225: Wow! That is a nice rink! The rink where i live sucks :( The floor is on a slight incline, and it's made up of tiles. The vibrations give you sore ankles. I stopped going their a long time ago.
