norwayte: 2 moles of something dissociate in 4 moles of two somethings ?! Mole is still a confusing concept.... for me....
ose90: norwayte, go to the video talking about mole and you will understand. It's just a number. For other users, Sal's brain malfunction when he wrote lower boiling point instead of lower melting point at 04.00 but he did say lower melting point ,just beaware not to get the idea wrong when watching the video.
khanacademy: 100 NaCls would disassociate into 100 Na and 100 Cl or 200 ions. Mole is just a number like 100.
norwayte: Thanks. I got it. Thought about it...the Mol-Thing. The origin. The definition. The number. Why they defined it. They relation to C12. And atomic mass unit...C12 again. They other way around is helpful for me... without water...100 Na and 100 Cl turn into "only" 100 NaCls. (And not 200 NaCls). :-) Thanks. You are helpful as always.
vlintim: To Sal: Where you were talking about the lowered Freezing point you wrote "lower boiling" by accident. Could you edit this (if you find the time...) This was confusing to me. Thank you SO VERY MUCH for your time to teach us!!! I have found several videos, so far, very helpful for chemistry and physics problems.
