~Authentic BottleNeck Slide Guitar~ This is the sound of Jesse James' hideout in 1871 Video
If you want to learn more, visit http://www.3-string-guitar.com/ and learn everything about cigar box guitars ....or just Google Red Dog Guitars.
To play great sounding Folk or Blues music you don't need a dobro or resonator or special guitar, there is no need for a special slide, and you don't need some special theory or training or manuals.......watch as I as I play some 1870's American Folk music with a bottle neck...perhaps if you rode up on the Jesse James' hide out you'd hear this music coming from thier back porch????
This guitar also sounds the way it does because it has an internal pickup, there is nothing at all wrong with a magnetic pickup or humbucker, I do use them sometimes...but you will always sound modern and never really achieve that vintage sound with one.
This pickup is made by JJB electronics, it is leaps and bounds better than any other cigar box guitar pickup in the world...belive me I am not blowing smoke, ...just go back, hit the play button and listen for your self....if you build or want to play cigar box guitar or acoustic guitar head on over to his website, the 20 or 30 bucks you spend will make you 10 times happier than any other pickup....there is nothing wrong with soldering or homemaking a radio shack buzzer pickup or converting a piezo, that's totally fun!!!... but if you want to reach back in time, you need something made specifically for great sound...it's up to you, it's just a few dollars for a great sounding guitar...it's all about the tone!
