Indo-Sri Lanka bilateral seminar on countering maritime threats Video
The Indo-Sri Lanka bilateral seminar on countering maritime threats posed by non state actors commenced in Colombo today. It will continue until tomorrow.
It is being organised by the Ministry of Defence Strategic Affairs Division in collaboration with the National Maritime Foundation of India headed by former Indian Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Arun Prakash.
Delivering the inaugural address, Navy Commander Vice Admiral Tisara Samarasinghe emphasised that it is their duty to be alert to counter non state actors from destabilising the maritime global commons. This will ensure the security of the maritime domain for their future. The Navy Commander added that protection of the maritime global commons is the key to the survival of certain nation states. It is being attended by top level Defence officials from both countries.
