Episode 3: {closer and closer}

The next day...

Demi was sat on the school steps, waiting patiently and nervously for Joe. He had told her to bring her poems. She clutched her notebook to her chest.
Just a few seconds later, Joe was stood in front of her.

Joe: [smiles] Hello Demi.
Demi: [looks up and smiles nervously] H-hi Joe.
Joe: [chuckles] dont be nervous.
Demi: [nods] ok.
Joe: come on, lets go. [Smiles and holds out his hand]
Demi: [takes his hand and stands up]

They drove in the car back to Joes house. When they got there they sat in the living room.

Joe: can I see your poems?
Demi: [puts the notebook behind her back and shakes her head]
Joe: [smiles] its ok Demi.
Demi: NO! Theyre awful. Trust me!
Joe: I dont think youre friends would have said you were amazing to make you look bad.
Demi: [sighs in defeat and hands him her notebook]
Joe: [smiles and reads the first page;]

Maybe I wear baggies
and white socks with flip-flops,
maybe I don't like listening to rave
and I'm not on the social mountaintops,
maybe I don't care about the things
that make your worlds twirl,
maybe you look at me and think:
Gee, what a nothing girl.

Maybe I like giving smiles
which seems to be a sin today,
and maybe I allow my imagination
to sometimes run away,
maybe you don't understand this
and that's why you cannot see,
if this make me a nothing girl,
hey, that's ok with me!

The world makes you believe
your personality mustn't be detected,
your face must be picture perfect
and wear cloths just the best, to be accepted.
Maybe I look at you
and feel sorry that you're blind,
robots you have became,
yourself you'll never find.

God made you, as well as me,
this means I am something,
the world is a liar
and if I must be a nothing
for you to see it,
then so be it!

Joe: Wow! This is amazing Demi. Truly breath taking.
Demi: [shocked] Oh my god, really?
Joe: one hundred percent. You should submit these.
Demi: Ha. Hardly.
Joe: Im serious Demi. Or should I say; Demetria. [He smirked]
Demi: [gives him an evil look] Oh ha ha Joseph.
Joe: [smiles] Come on lets go.

They spend the day watching TV, surfing the internet, listening to music. They got closer and closer each second.

Joe: How old are you?
Demi: 17, what about you?
Joe: 20.

He leaned closer and closer. Demis breathing got faster and faster.

Demis POV:
Oh my gosh! Am I dreaming? No of course not hopefully. Joe Jonas; the most inspirational person IN MY LIFE was trying to kiss ME! Nothing could get better; well unless he kissed me of course. He got closer and closer....
