GretchenDawntreader: freedom-stealing hate crime bills?? What, freedom to bash gays? Freedom to burn crosses on the lawns of black families? Freedom to stalk and rape women? Which freedom that you cherish does this legislation take from you? It's not against the law to hate people. These laws only say it's penalized to act on those hatreds with violence.
