MsZeist: YES we have the right to vote to on Daylight Saving. It is funny cos every one I know as well wants daylight saving in QLD. I don't know any one who doesn't. I am with you. Bring it on a referendum!!!!!!!. Up yours Anna Bligh, we will get our way one day.

hirschOZ: I'm from WA, and QLD don't ever talk about not being in the 21st Century like that. Because living in the 20th century is alot more fun. our referendum results in WA, 1975 - 55% NO, 1984 - 54% NO, 1992 - 55%, 2009 - 55% NO. And each referendum costs a bit over $4 million bucks to run.

bloodynoravideos: At least your state government allows its people to have a say. Good on WA for having a referendums. Be thankful you dont have a idiot mayor wanting to spend millions on a bike bank programme. lol Thanks for the stats though, it shows that almost half of WA do want it, but majority rules. Fair enough. Our state gvt relies on one vote from the 70s and wont budge. We have a right to vote just like you despite the cost incurred. Different argument altogether. Regards. The dark side.

rannke1909: WA are so lucky. We get dictated to by our premier, no democracy for us, no choice for us. A shame WA voted against.I don't see 55% as a clear majority - thats still within the bounds of 50/50 for and against. If WA had a 70/30 outcome that would be a CLEAR majority so best they keep the status quo. An extra hour at days end would mean it was an hour later everyone would turn the lights on. What a huge energy saving that would be.

Splashter: I am for DLS, but surely putting Nora up as an advocate for it just works against the cause. This women must be the most annoying creature on the planet - she sounds like 'Kimmy' on heat.

SAJQLD12: Did you relaise that China has ONE time zone! They get over it so should you.. Would suck living on the border though... FYI i'm all for it only because i work in retail..
