Jonas Daughter: Life After Band Chapt. 44 "Mommy" Video

Cara's P.O.V:
They wheeled me to the NICU (A/N:You know what I don't get, why people that just gave birth get wheeled around. Are they too lazy to walk? Or is the hospital just being nice? I don't know. Anyway...)where I had to wash my hands thourghly and then I was taken to my baby. A baby cage. That's what it was. A venelator was hooked up to it, and under the baby's nose was breathing tube. Holes were poked through the side. (A/N: BTW he's the baby in the second picture)

Doctor: He's two pounds, fourteen ounces.
Me: That's tiny-Wait it's a boy?
Doctor: Yes. A tiny baby boy.

I was flying inside. He was so tiny and cute. The perfect baby boy.

Me: Oh. Can I hold him?
Doctor: Not yet but you and your father can take pictures. You can't hold him until he's three pounds.
Me: OK.

I put my hand through the holes and touched his little boyd.

Doctor: I'll leave you alone. Let the nurse know when you're ready to name the baby. *leaves*
Kevin: He looks so....peaceful.
Me: Yeah. I can't believe I didn't know.
Kevin: It's not your fault. How could you know?
Me: How culd I not.

I just stared at him and touched him. He looked like Tyler.

Nurse: *aproaches her* Have you thought of a name?
Me: Tyler. Tyler Jordan Jonas-Carter II
Nurse: *writes it down**smiles* Who is he named after?
Me: His father. He died almost six months ago.
Nurse: Ah, Tyler is a beautiful name. *leaves*
Kevin: Why'd you name him Tyler? I thought your favorite boy name was Brian? (A/N: That's MY favorite boy name =])
Me: Something told me it was right.

*The Next Day*
Dad told told everyone I was fine, it was a false alarm with the apendix and that I was having some really bad period cramps. He said I'd be home in a few days, the doctors wanted to keep me under observation. When I did get home, I'd tell everyone the truth.

But today he was 3 pounds 2 ounces. I could hold him. Dad had gotten the video camera.

Nurse: Well here we go. This is your little boy. *puts him in her arms*

I looked down at him. His eyes were brown, like Tyler's. He had soft peach fuzz (ignore the brown hair in the photo). He was so tiny. How could I love someone I just met?

Kevin: And this is Cara holding her baby for the first time.
Me: ANd he's perfect. *tears fall down her face* Welcome to the world Tyler Jordan. Welcome to the world.

*That Night*
I lay in bed, thinking about Tyler, my boyfriend. Would he have wanted the baby? Would he have stuck by me?
It was around 2 AM when I was awoken. I had a dream. About my baby. I jumped out of my bed and ran to the NICU, taking the stairs. I pounded on the doors (A/N: They keep them locked because of germs and kidnappings and stuff). My heart was racing. I kept on pounding.

The doctor finally opened the door. He saw me and looked back at the nurse, then faced me.

Doctor: Miss Jonas go back to your room.
Me: Let me see my baby!
Doctor: Miss Jonas, please!
Me: NO! Let me see him! HE'S MY BABY! I need to know he's OK.
Doctor: Miss Jonas-
Me: *pushes past him**runs to Tyler*

The sight I saw will haunt me forever.
