Nesting Turtles on Cable Beach Video

A short flick dedicated to the Flat Back turtles that nest on Cable Beach. In 2008 the Broome Shire Council resolved to restrict vehicle traffic on Cable Beach to safeguard the nesting turtles. The restrictions were voted in by 5 to 4. In the 2009 election many candidates made continued vehicle access to the beach an issue. The following are statements that have been through this issue.
There is no evidence that vehicle impact on turtles.
