Heart attacks reduced 94 percent in patients given desiccated thyroid Video

Broda Barnes, MD, PhD, author of Hypothyroidism: The Unsuspected Illness, found that in his patients given desiccated thyroid, the risk of heart attacks was reduced 18-fold compared to what was predicted by the Framingham Study.

This has not been recognized by main stream medicine, Dr. Starr notes.

This is from Mark Starr, MD's book Hypothyroidism Type 2: The Epidemic.

Dr. Starr also notes that that desiccated thyroid (Armour) is much more effective than synthetic thyroid hormones.

Here is what he wrote on page 164.

A recent book by Sanford Siegal, DO, MD, entitled Is Your Thyroid Making You Fat lends additional credence to the thyroid epidemic.

Dr. Siegal specialized in weight loss.

He... asked if I would be... on his referral list... because I was one of only several hundred doctors who prescribed the medication.

In over 40 years of practice, Dr. Siegal found in treating thousands of patients that desiccated thyroid (Armour) was much more effective than synthetic thyroid hormones.

Dr. Zondek also reported the superior efficacy of desiccated thyroid over synthetic thyroid hormone in the treatment of the obese form of hypothyroidism in his 1926 textbook, Diseases of the Endocrine Glands.

He had not changed his opinion by the time the forth edition was published in 1944.

-----------

My research shows that many chronic illnesses including heart disease, obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, arthritis, mental illnesses, Alzheimer's disease, and the explosion of childhood illnesses are largely attributable to Type 2 hypothyroidism.

Type 1 Hypothyroidism is defined as failure of the thyroid gland to produce sufficient amounts of necessary to maintain normal blood levels of those hormones and normal blood levels of the thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH).

Type 2 Hypothyroidism is defined as [a] resistance to thyroid hormones at the cellular level.

[In Type 2 hypothyroidism,] Normal amounts of thyroid hormones and thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) are detected by the blood tests therefore, blood tests do not detect Type 2 hypothyroidism.

eisenhowernixon: Warning! Tell your Doctor before just buying and taking this hormone. Your doctors needs to know if you have any of these conditions: angina, diabetes, dieting or on a weight loss program, fertility problems, heart disease, high levels of thyroid hormone, pituitary gland problem, previous heart attack, an unusual or allergic reaction to thyroid hormones, other medicines, foods, dyes, or preservatives, pregnant or trying to get pregnant, breast-feeding,
98mimi: I have been taking armor thyroid for years but can't get any now and have to take the synthetic syntroid it is not good ,when I could get the natural thyroid armor I was in very good health but with the synthetic synthroid I am not well I have severe headaches and a lot of hair loss, the natural thyroid drug armor is far superior to the synthetic drugs.
larryshobbs: Sorry to hear you can't get it. It is obvious to me that the makers Synthroid (synthetic T4) are behind this. I live 100 miles from Tijuana, Mexican. There are dozens and dozens of pharmacies just across the border in Tijuana. They used to sell cheap desiccated thyroid. But the last time I was down there, maybe 5 years ago, NO ONE had desiccated thyroid. All they had was synthetic T4. More manipulation by the makers Synthroid. Larry Hobbs
spanishaustralian: im on both t4 and t3. i tried natural thyroid but it didnt work for me. t3 was always good on bloodtest but t4 was lowish. i needed high dose of t4. when i push the t4 reasonalbly high i feel best. at first when i push it up i feel terrible but once i pass that it gets really good after the 3rd month. try pushing t4 to a point that you can handle. dont overdose just keep pushing it higher to a pont that makes you well again.
