townsendjean: Explicitly and deliberately demeaning? degrading? ... blah blah What a frenzy these fox jerks get themselves into! ... and over what? -- a picture for which palin willingly posed. And the dumb woman herself protested too, arguing unconvincingly she didn't realize what she was doing. Truth is she knew exactly what she was doing and didn't give a shit about how it might be used. Now she's bitching about it to make news and more money, while the fox jerks feign taking her seriously. What a con!

iSAW7: The Newsweek cover is an obvious attempt to caricature her. This has long been how the media have operated in shaping our opinions of people. The context of this photo is obviously out of sync. The media is more and more becoming nothing more than a cartoon without substance. This is true of almost all media outlets in this country especially, Fox News and MSNBC. A glaring example of this is "The Daily Show," which people seem to regard as legitimate journalism. Journalism has become buffoonary.

You will also notice Hannity keeps calling her Gov.Palin.... Fox news never ever calls Obama President Obama....But they will call Pailin Gov even after she quit and isnt Gov anymore!! OF COURSE her popularity means she's give Obama a run for his money in 2012, but I often say, by 2012, when everyone will be hurting economically where they live BECAUSE of Obama's policies, anyone will beat Obama. Why not have an honest, noble, hard-working person with a solid record of accomplishment run in 2012? The media went in the tank for Obama, and they know they will sink if Obama sinks. But Obama is sinking himself.

seethebright: Questiion about Dana Perino: Is there a reason that at this very moment (6:46 pm MST as I write this), there are 16 news articles about her appointment to a key media-related government post, yet none of those 16 happens to be Fox News? Does this strike anyone as ODD? I can see just about any cable news outlet being too lazy to report it, but not Fox. Why? Well, she's on the FNC contributor payroll, or was. Maybe such a report would look too favorable to our prez.

Look before Sahra ran with McCain I had the upmost respect for her.. I listened to what she had to say about Alaska (before she was in the media spot light)!
