TheWakeUpChannel2: WTF?!? The Iraq war is civilized? Really Noam?? Really? What about the Secret Prisons, the Torture, the Indefinite Detention, Abu Gharib, etc etc.? They're grabbing goat-herders off the street, calling them terrorists and throwing them in prison where they get raped and tortured for no reason other than having brown skin and a turban. jupiterjjrm: Quite pathetic - Chomsky is complaining about the possible advent of "nazi Germany" again, w/o making NOT EVEN ONE COMMENT about what's happening, which is worse than Nazi Germany and perhaps Soviet Russia together: Blackwater, APF, FEMA, etc etc. Chomsky is on the MIT payroll, and hence cannot be a real free thinker, it's that simple. Dissapointing though

All he said was that the United States could not do in Iraq what they had done in Vietnam because the population simply wouldn't tolerate it anymore. In fact, the acts in the Vietnam War were far more atrocious than Iraq. If you read any Chomsky, you would know that he is a major critic of the Iraq War.

TheWakeUpChannel2: Haha.. If you believe that, then I've got a bridge to sell you in Egypt. He can be a critic of whatever he wants, if he's not truly exposing who is behind these atrocities, then what difference does it make? So tell me then. What's his perspective on the new world order? I doubt that he would tell you who is really running the show. And I doubt he'll even tell you the reasons for all of this mayhem.
