SafeArmsReview: I agree with you - there are already laws on the books that deal with murder, assault, rape, etc. Instead of valuing one citizen over another, it would have been better to just increase the punishment across the board for murder, rape, etc so it would be a deterrent and raise the value of ALL ppl. :)
Queenyinthehouse: Obama is gay and he wanted to protect his gayness, and his gay buddies. Barack Obama enunciated a radically anti-Christian vision for America in his speech to a homosexual organization on September 10, 2009. yes, there has been hate crime laws on the books, BUT, Obama is altering in this New World Order that requires a One World Religion. Bigger picture here. The bills are being twisted to fit the agenda. True believers in Christ HAVE the Holy Spirit, and they are led by his word. Church or not.
dontblamethemessenge: good video, never looked at this like that.
awellwisher: This is off the topic of the hate crimes bill, but I'm having a spiritual crisis of faith and I'm hoping that someone who reads my problem will be able to provide an answer. Why did all knowing God create mankind knowing that the majority of people will go to hell (based on Matt. 7, etc.)? Why didn't He just create people He knew would get saved so this way no one goes to hell? The doctrine of hell makes me feel like I can't really trust Him. I hope to resolve my doubts can get back on track
babby45: your only goin to go to jail if you assault or murder someone
WadeDanielSmith: A relationship between a man and a woman is only meaningful if the two individuals involved have a choice. Else, one or the other or both are automatons, and therefore there is no love, no choice. If there were no option to rebel against God, then the option to love God would be less meaningful.
awellwisher: Thanks for your reply. I do understand the importance of freewill. However, I'm wondering why God didn't just create people that He knew would use their freewill to choose Him, and therefore no one would end up in hell.
MrBankRuns: The whole world is falling apart. Without the Constitution there is nothing left.
skindresser: "beleive none of what you hear and only half of what you see". this is what i live by. i was told this by a guy that ran our bible study when i was in middle school. im not sure if it has much use in your situation. but bassically, ill consider it when i see it. dont make opinions off of what others have told you. the human mind needs to beleive in something. it jumps at the first ease of mind idea. like that when you die your eternally happy in heaven....
skindresser: ....dosent this sound like something man would make up? i wonder if we asked a dog if when it died would it just be dead or would it live on. i think that dog would have a beleif of some sort of after life. Its impossible to think when you die thats it..the end. so we think up ways to live on. natures way is to live on aslong as possible. and as humans we are intelligent enough to think up after lifes. i beleive in some greater power... but... that beleif is to be continued.
skindresser: im comfused on the video... are there christians that are mad because they cant beat people up for not being christian anymore? .
SafeArmsReview: obvious not - if there were, then they would not be ad hearing to standards of the bible or what a christian really is. Most are seeing this as a prelude where our freedom of speech is denied at some point in the future - this bill is paving the way by ignoring the constitution and our rights as citizens. :)
MissouriSniper: Great presentation preach the word be instant in season out of season.
skindresser: im sorry maybe im not understanding correctly then. is the bill making preaching to others a form of hate crime?
skindresser: "our forefathers were terrorists. the constitution and bill of rights were written by criminals". this is what is being trained to our law enforcement right now. more wide spread then we know. my buddy is in the border patrol academy right now and thats the BS theyre telling him. and hes buying it...
YYZpresto: Churches marketing themselves as fun social clubs are disgusting. Right and wrong is more than a marketing campaign. It's about tough choices and tough actions.
SafeArmsReview: exactly :)
SafeArmsReview: yes indeed :)
ImTheSecretSquare: So... you say at 0:44 that the problem with the hate crime bill is that it creates two sets of people. You then read the bill, and at no point do you ever mention the two sets of people who it creates. Who are these two sets of people that it is creating? How is it different from the 1969 Federal Hate Crimes Law? As for your comments about existing state laws, this applies to sentencing in Federal court, not to states. Almost all states have their own hate crime legislation.
SafeArmsReview: Life of ALL citizens should be treated the same - all should have the same punishment. If we increased the punishment of all murders, perhaps that would decrease murder, i.e. a deterrent. Matter of fact its proven that it works. Unfortunately this bill does create classes where one person's life is worth more than the other & that is wrong & its against the constitution, bill of rights & declaration. Of course is you dont believe we should all be treated equally then thats up to you ;).
ImTheSecretSquare: "Unfortunately this bill does create classes where one person's life is worth more than the other " As I just asked, what classes are these? Who are these two sets of people that it is creating? The bill itself that you read out loud clearly states simply that crimes based on race, gender, et al. have mandatory minimum sentences. What classes do you believe the bill creates? Who is in these classes? Whose life is worth more than whom? I hope you will answer this time.
eviljagtech: As an atheist Libertarian, the issue I think is when i heard the word "Preseaved". That is a big issue. It means that is you have say, an altercation with a Muslim, atheist, heck women that there opinion that it was caused by MORE then what was really involved. It allows the Gov't to use opinion over fact to come to a conclusion. Police will be able to arrest you if the other person is different from you, which were are all different yet all Americans. Have a Merry Christmas
miketonon: What about murdering someone at war for differences such as these and others?
miketonon: I know where you are comming from. I truely believe religion is on an individual level. I was raised and confirmed a Catholic, but I strayed away from the church. I guess I'm kind of a christian, generally speaking. But what I believe might differ from everyone else and vise versa. Years ago I was more or less a "sheep" like so many people, but I think thats generally changing, people are comming to the truth.
miketonon: Years ago I would go to church and believe the preacher, now if I go to church and disagree with him, I might get up and say something. I feel so much more honest and liberated now.
