welder541: Hey ervans, What does dynamic braking mean??? Ive heard the term before but never understood it. Thanks alot. good video. I lived in the gorge near bridel veil for a time. Really loved all the train activity.
ervans: Dynamic braking is the use of the electric traction motors of a railroad vehicle as generators when slowing the vehicle
welder541: Hey Thanks I learned something. Now i understand where that high pitch whine comes from. Those generators!!!
pseacke: Thanks so much. I was born in Portland Oregon and lived there all my life. Moved to the South 5 years ago. This is a little taste of home. Thanks again.
spudmuffin1959: My Dad was the Oilman on this train in Portland. This just brings back memories when I was a child and seeing this train still running is such a warm feeling. Thank you for doing this.

cochranexyz: Nice! People actually able to poke their heads out the windows, too.
ervans: Yes, and most of them were taking my picture
Alexvideoclip: 17, count again
switzerlicious: Oh yeah, guess I shouldn't have counted the engine as a car. ;)
Drewster327: WOW suprising No mile long pacing line, I guess everyone was 4449ed out from the eastbound trip
ervans: This is as far east as I went, and I only got one shot. There was no way to catch it again on it way to Portland
penguingeneral2: Nice! The video is really clear! That engine is beautiful! I need to see it in person again!
