"Chris Hillman Christmas" by THE BRITANNICAS Video
Our ode to Chris Hillman, the most under-rated member of The Byrds. For more information see:

I don't need to see your name in brighter lights
I just wanna hear your songs in people's hearts
I'd rather listen to Jesus than to Wilco
I'd rather go back to Jail if I see the Eagles reform again
You could teach a cat or two about rock n' roll
You can smoke the bluegrass anytime
I wish I could see you this christmas
I'd love to spend some time with you and yours
Wishing you a very merry christmas
I hope the new year always brings to you your just rewards
The bass in my rig's in overdrive
I don't need those little pills to help me fly
You're the one that always guides me home
And if we ever get to meet I won't have a single question about Gram
I wish I could see you this christmas
I'd love to spend some time with you and yours
Are we thinking about the same question
Who are these city boys playing vegetarian country?
chorn82: Chris is really the unsung hero, but not anymore thanks to The Britannicas!!
mcdonnell220: Great!!
algerij: Thanks for your kinds words! Cheers, Joe
rockon1898: Boy, the players do sound a lot like a blend of Roger, Clarence, Bernie and John Jorgenson on guitar, Lloyd Green or Jay Dee on pedal steel, Duncan or Clarke on drums, and Bill Bryson on bass. Not too sure about those vocals though...Cool song, but knowing how unassuming Chris is, he'd shrug with a brief smile.
rockon1898: Ooops. and Larry Park too on the gee-tar. But where's Earl P. on pie-ano or Mansfield on fiddle?
algerij: Thanks Alan, even if you think our vocals sux everything else you said I take as enormous compliment!
rockon1898: aaah, you know who I am - lol. No, the vocals are actually very good*...only complaint I have is the "bluegraaasss" on "smoke the bluegrass anytime" - sounded a bit more European of course than West Coast. I'm flattered of course that if Christian didn't know better, he'd think I wrote them. ha ha. So you are very welcome indeed! (I hope Chris and Connie enjoy this too)
algerij: Alan, I have no idea who you are? I just thought it was polite that I check your profile for a name! I sing lead and my accent is Australian. Whilst we were going for really trad "Bakersfield" country sound I'm not really into mimickery when it comes to accents. The other band members are from the US and Sweden. Crazy shit happens when we all sing on our recordings because of this. I want to post a message on Chris's website about the song, do you think he'll dig it? Cheers, Joe
mcdonnell220: Saw that Alan! ;-) Christian
