Woman Steals A Car Then Falls Asleep At The Church's Chicken Drive Thru Video

Cell phone video catches woman dozing in the drive-thru window, but her nap-time could turn into hard-time because police say the car she was snoozing in was stolen, reports CBS station KOVR-TV in Sacramento.

The woman at the wheel was having a hard time staying awake. Police say Alicia Tavares was driving a stolen car while dozing off at the local fast food establishment.

But, Tavares wasn't just a suspect, she was extremely sleepy.

"She would say something and then she would stop, and then a little while she would talk," says one Church's Chicken employee.

She finally ordered and drove up to the cashier window.

"And then finally she went to sleep and she wouldn't wake up," says Meenil.

Meenil, the cashier, took a cell phone video of Tavares at her window in her alleged stolen car.

People behind her would have to wait, and the restaurant manager called the police.

When the police arrived and checked the stolen plates, they woke up Tavares and arrested her, but she hadn't forgotten about her order.

"She verbally says 'I want my chicken', so we gave her the chicken, but it only goes to prove to you how good our chicken is," said the Church's Chicken's manager.
