Lord Christopher Monckton continues to warn us about the Climate Change Treaty in Copenhagen. December can be the last time to speak out against Environmental Socialism before President Obama signs the treaty. If he signs the treaty of course. If the treaty gets signed, we will be supporting third world countries with our taxes, even though we are in some ways than one.

haxoreds: America makes the treaties that work for America. Now I'm really touched that some foreign nation thinks they know whats best for the future and America, i would read it with an open mind. However i would never sign anything that wasn't a direct benefit to our nation and the future. It's coming from our competitors, don't think for a second that this it not their nature. There is no evolved sensibilities here. Does it benefit America? Sign it yes or no, but do it on those terms.
noliesundead: this is a moot point even if obama sighed this unfinished treaty we can get out of it with out much retaliation theirs nothing to enforce this treaty and the senate needs to pass it with a 67vote super majority to make it bidding anyways and for whats its worth the Obama administration has publicly pledged that it will not sign an agreement unacceptable to Congress lord Monckton is making claims based on a treaty thats not even ready to be signed

mcap52: Thanks to the "national emergency"Obama has declared this will allow him to sign the treaty and bypass congressional approval.Alot of people don't realize this and need to be told.
tdt1000: There is certainly enough of a framework for signature and mechanisms for further amendment are provided. This is the NORM in multilateral agreements for reasons that should be obvious. However, there is one point Monckton made that needs to be corrected. Our Constitution says nothing treaties trumping it. The Supremes have held the opposite. However, the increasing tendency of liberal justices to allow international trends to influence their interpretation does present a credible threat.

tdt1000: If he doesn't sign, it will be solely due to the opposition from the backbone that yet remains in our nation, combined with the fact that the green pretext commies are already getting enough of what they want passed in each nation separately anyways. (for now) Not because of Obama's honesty or the treaty being too unfinished lolz
