muribry: A person is free to do whatever he wants, and if he puts someone else in danger, it's his responsibility to accept the consequences for it. I don't care how many drugs a guy takes in his own home, but when he gets behind the wheel of a car he's putting myself and my family in danger and I hope to God there's a cop out there ready to enforce the law. muribry: Reading previous studies and evaluating your peers' work on a subject is in fact, research. I guess they didn't teach you that. However, it's quite obvious that they did teach you it's perfectly acceptable to base an argument solely on emotion, which is why you're full of inconsistencies, inaccurate facts and personal attacks. muribry: health insurance and auto insurance are 2 different types of insurance, one for automobiles and one for health, we've established that many times. My argument still stands that they should be applied the same. You haven't given one argument to dispute that, other than the "the public option is the best idea on the table to fix the US health insurance crisis". I have 2 questions for you, what is the "crisis" and how will the public option fix the "crisis"?

BlameRepublicans: The crisis is not a health insurance crisis it's a helath care crisis. So long as we Americans have the option of using at cost (zero profit) health care provided by the purchasing power of the government (aka giving us real choices) we can let the profiteers turn down claims and jack up rates all they want. FREE MARKET. See how that works?
