What exactly is "philosophical" Taoism and the goal of Taoist alchemy. I am not selling anything. I am just sharing.

SpiralTrance: I think there's truth in all 3 strands of spirituality outlooks be it abrhamic, dharmic and taoist. They're all observing the same divine workings but abstract it in different ways. The human mind is dualistic and limited and therefore has difficulty comprehending something that can be everything at once. Each one of the 3 schools of divine outlook (abrhamic, dharmic and taoist) form the divine trinity so it's not wise to reject any of them.

medharudra: you're right about the abrahamic and dharmic distinctions. but imho, Taoism is also a dharmic system. Why? Because Tao is The Way/Source and Taoism is the way to remain on the way/uphold the source. Dharma comes from the sanskrit root words dhr and ma. Dhr means to uphold and Ma is for mother or source. So Dharma literally means Upholding the Source. In Dharmic traditions there are many schools. Advaitic schools and Taoism have most overlaps, with some cultural uniqueness (India & China)

Now, I don't know why your comment has a demerit; you commented to an earlier comment that was "removed by author" so I have no idea what context you were casting your judgment. However, your judgment is not only highly charged with a degree of finalization, it's also snide. So either you're a zealot, or you died. In either case you're still trying to state your opinion as a fact, which I found interesting.
