EncompassedRunner: As a first generation American myself, I know that many foreigners would like their children to be American citizens, so I don't see why it's hard to believe the possibility that someone called in notification of the birth. Not saying that's what happened, but doesn't take some deep conspiracy to have made it happen, very reasonable possibility. Obama's step-grandmother in Kenya actually said Obama was born in Hawaii and that it was obvious (very edited audio), and the natural born definition has been settled since Wong Kim Ark in 1897.
