Ambulance Paramedics Part 1(/2) Video
We look at the ambos campaign for longer rest breaks and better pay in the Victorian Metropolitain Ambulance Service, a story we covered a year ago and we look back over the campaign to find that the state government and Amublance Victoria have not moved forward. This is even after a leaked email last week from management states that their position is not sustainable.
We speak to Steve McGhie from the Ambulance Employees Association, part of the LHMU, about the campaign, and we hear from ambulance officers.
sanghgam66: I have only been working within Victoria's Ambulance Service as a paramedic for around 1.5 years now.... and it's hard to express in words my feelings in a way that could adequately reflects such deep downheartedness. After looking up to the service and those within it for all of my conscious life it brakes my heart to see such low moral. These dedicated men and woman have been serving us and our families for decades. Mr. Brumby.... shame... shame... shame... these are good people.
