What it takes, Ch. 8 Video

Amber's POV:

A startled voice made my head shoot up from the wheel of my car.
Kevin: You okay?
I closed my eyes for a second, and cleared my throat.
Amber: Umm, yeah, I'm okay.
Kevin: Do you want to go to work today? I heard about what happened, Nick told me.
I sighed, as a blow of air came out of my mouth.
Amber: I really, really don't want to go.
He gave me a small smile, and helped me out of the car, Joe waved to me in a funny way, when I walked inside, but all I could see was Nick and Kayla, watching t.v. on my couch. Ughhh, what did I tell him? But instead he goes along, and wtaches t.v. I layed my head on the counter, and a second later, a hand was rubbing gently on my upper back.
Kevin: What's wrong.
My head shot up, like it did, earlier, but this time anger shot through my eyes. And I talked really loud.
Amber: Everything, Everything is wrong. Gosh, you know my life is soo screwed up, and I cant fix it in any way because of him. Because he doesn't do anything with his life, and I have to do that for him, and he never gets it, you can just makeout with him for 2 seconds, like he always wanted, then he walks away because hes SCARED of his own self.
I had gotten out of my seat by now, and Kayla and Nick and Joe, Kevin were staring at me.
Amber: And do you know how hard it is, to do that, go along with a life you don't want, you think I wanted to be like this, just when I got settled, into this okay lifestyle, you come again, into my screwed up life. i mean really Nick why did you go to the hospital to see me. All the time that I have known you, you just ruin me. Remember with Ana, I do, and what about with Miley, and now this stupid slut that's sitting on my couch, that your going to throw away, in about 5 min. cause you don't "want" her anymore.
I sighed, knowing he would not get what I was trying to tell him, but he was not staring at me, he had his eyes closed.
Nick: You. Know. I. Love. you.
My voice got softer.
Amber: How am I supposed to know that, you walk out on me every second I come to like you again?
Nick: And I know that every day, I hurt you, and it kills me because I cant do anything to change it, I know I am screwed up. I know I hurt you, and it's tearing me apart.
He put his face in his hands, and silently let his small tears fall out, Kayla gave us a disgusted look, then flipped her hair.
Kayla: I really need, to go get a manicure so, if you excuse me, I'll be back, Nicky.
Rage was running through me. And I stepped up to her.
Alex: You need to get out of my house, and stay out.
She flipped her hair, and I gave Joe the eye to open the door. He slowly opened it, confused.
Amber: Here let me walk you out.
I said sarcastically, wow, she must be stupid cause she bielieves me. I put my hand on her back, and once we got to the door, I pushed her, she fell to the floor, and whimpered, but got up, and ran to her car. I shut the door, and truned in my high heels. They were chuckling but Nick stood there looking at me. No emotion was in his eyes, only blank. I slowly made my way to where he was standing. I whispered in his ear.
Amber: You wanna talk about it, upstairs.
Nick: Yeah.
I looked at Kevin and Joe who were making kissy faces at us, so I flipped them off, they were like pssshhh, and sat down and turned on the t.v. I opened my bedroom door, and we sat on my bed. I layed my hand, on my silk conferter, Nick put his hand over mine.
Nick: What can I do to make it up to you?
Amber: The damage is done Nick.
Nick: ...... I can buy you whatver you wa---
Amber: Money isn't going to solve things, OK. All I want is to be with the Nick I knew.
Nick: ... I can change.
Amber: Promise?
Nick: . Yeah.
Amber: You mean, yeah I do promise, or Yeah right.
Nick: First one.
That made me smile under my bangs that covered my face. He removed my hair, and put it back behind my ear. I looked at him, who was smiling at me, and I hugged him, it was comforting.
Nick: Kiss me?
Amber: That depends, are you gonna pull the stunt you pulled last night?
Nick: Psshhh, what are you talking bout?
Amber: Haha.
I pulled his head to mine, and gave him a soft kiss, barely opening my mouth, to move along with his. We stopped for a moment and put our heads together breathing deeply.
Amber: I love you too.
