Getting Phoenix Feathers Video

Phoenix feathers can be used with antifire potions at 85 herblore to make super antifire potions. They give 210 experience and give complete protection from dragon fire.

One inventory of feathers takes 1 minute 29 seconds to get, not including the time spent firemaking (1 minute 5 seconds). This means that it is possible to average 654 feathers and 631 logs burned per hour, or 1,132 feathers per hour not including time spend firemaking. Each feather gives 29 thieving xp, or 33k xp per hour. Assuming you can average 240k thieving xp per hour from blackjacking or pyramid plunder, 33k xp is worth 8 minutes 15 seconds. You are effectively getting 1,132 feathers in 51 minutes 45 seconds, or 1 feather every 2.74 seconds.

Since it is possible to make 2,190 potions per hour after obtaining the ingredients, 1 potion can be made every 1.64 seconds. Combining the time spent getting the phoenix feathers and the time spent making potions, 1 potion can be made every 4.38 seconds, or 821 potions per hour.

At a cost of 14 gp per xp, making super antifire potions is only 172k xp per hour. Recover special potions are 440k xp per hour at a cost of 23 gp per xp. Overload potions are 700k xp per hour at a cost of 20 gp per xp.

If you are not planning on using the potions you make, you should:

Make recover special potions from 84 to 85.
Make super antifire potions from 85 to 88 if you value time under 2.5m per hour.
Make recover special potions from 85 to 88 if you value time over 2.5m per hour.
Make super antifire potions from 88 to 99 if you value time under 1.4m per hour.
Make overload potions from 88 to 99 (starting with extreme attack potions at 88) if you value time over 1.4m per hour.

If you plan on using your potions, you should make the ones that you need.

If you want to use super antifire potions for slayer, you will need 200 to 300 for 99 and 3k to 4k for 200m xp.

Assuming that you do not re-light while firemaking to the phoenix, you will burn 1,500 logs per hour spent firemaking. Using magic logs, this is 450k xp per hour at a cost of 4.5 gp per xp. Using eucalyptus logs, it is 300k xp per hour at a cost of 2 gp per xp. Using maple logs, it is 200k xp per hour at a cost of 0.2 gp per xp.

You should use magic logs if you value time over 2.2m per hour. If you value time under 2.2m per hour, use eucalyptus logs instead. If you value time under 1m per hour, use maple logs.

The song is D&S - The Litestring.

ali3pa: awesome friend! keep it up ! :) ali1pa
EtherSword: You know, you should mention something about those extreme potions because you don't want to make too many of one type because you will be stuck with those since you can't sell them. I almost made 20k recover special potions and wow, I would have been stuck 500 hours worth of those. Really good info there, 5 stars. :)
TheAlSmo: I did mention the extreme potions in my description. You should have made them instead of the recover special potions since they cost less.
EtherSword: Only 85 herblore right now, what I meant was that I was going to do 20k recover special potions but I realized I would be stuck with those and same with the other potions, 1000 to 2000 potions is more than enough, if we just make that many, it's dead weight in the bank since we can't sell them.
TheAlSmo: Personally I made 4k recover special and I'm making 4k super antifire atm for 200m slayer, but I'll probably end up making around 20k more recover special potions later. Recover special potions are the most efficient potion to make until 88, even if you will never use them.
bsa293: lmao
numbe2boss: pretty sure these potions will be tradable one day tbh makes sence
Fs9AirbusA300Pilot: I hope they make em tradeable, so people who make em can get a lot of cash for it
