Alfie Comes Home After Surgery Video

Lady Luck smiled on this little guy Thursday when his path crossed with Tzu Zoo Rescue. Found wandering the streets of Grand Prairie, this relatively young man was under-nourished, exceedingly dirty and matted, (be thankful technology has not advanced to broadcast the "aroma" factor) with his left eye popped out of its socket, rotted and dangling uselessly for at least several days. Once his exam began at Golden Triangle Animal Hospital, they found that not only was this tough guy battling an extreme eye injury, he had thorns, huge like mesquite thorns, in his legs and feet,and to top it off, tests showed that he is very heavily heartworm positive!

In spite of all this, he is friendly and cooperative, wags his tail and is very gentle....just accepts his situation which thankfully, has already turned the corner into the sunshine. It will be so exciting when he wakes up Friday morning from what he probably thinks is a dream to find that his new reality is a bright and happy future; thanks to Tzu Zoo Rescue and the wonderful supportive community that believes in and supports its mission.
