KC0TLV: Here's a question, and it always seems to come down to economics, especially with big rigs and cost per mile. How much does this exhaust fluid catalyst cost per gallon, and how does that impact the cost of running a truck per mile?
Muffinrider: Rising fuel costs make SCR a more attractive option. Most of the world pays considerably more for diesel than they do for Add blue.
KC0TLV: Makes sense and I'm all for protecting the environment, don't get me wrong, but with the rising costs of fuel, this is just going to add more to the cost of running a truck per mile, which will drive up freight charges, which in turn will ultimately have to raise the cost of the end product that's shipped by truck. Wonder if they plan something similar for diesel trains?
777worldliner: thats stupid! if i had a truck with bluetec system i would cut it out of my exhaust and replace it with a straight pipe screw bluetec!!
eltrokeromexicano: BS... Never gonna happen for me.
