By the year 1944 while he was still young, Bade Ghulam Ali Khan came to be considered as the king of Hindustani classical music genre.

chamogaa: I was just reading in a book on Lataji that when Ustaad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan died she felt as if music had died. There can't be a better tribute. He on his part once said about her in an affectionate "complaint" that only elders can make: Kambakht kabhi besuri nahin gaati! So flawless have been these two. Wonderful post again, Mirzaji.
