The Mastiff is a very powerful massive dog, but they are often called a gentle giant. A born guard dog, but they rarely bark, & is more a silent guard rather than a barker. Although they are patient & considered excellent with children, & other animal's they are very calm, even tempered, & docile. They are extremely loyal.
They a relatively inactive indoors & only require a small yard, as long as they get sufficient exercise. Their coat is short and smooth.
