My 28 Gallon Freshwater Fish Tank (Oct 27, 2009) Video

This is an introduction of some of the inhabitants of my fish tank. First YouTube.com video as well...

Featured inhabitants include:
Ivan "the Terrible", Tiger Oscar
Fluffy, Moss Ball
Sushi, Male Swordtail Guppy

Tank is decorated with a plastic colloseum, real driftwood, two blue quartz stones, one pink quartz stone, one purple amethyst stone, two plastic plants, a blue and white background, blue-tone colored gravel, and a moss ball.

The music is by Lordi from the album "Get Heavy". If you don't like it then please just turn off the sound, don't complain to me about it.

A little history...

Ivan: I have had this Oscar for around a quarter of a year and he was purchased from Barnacle Bill's in Pullman, WA. I gave him the name Ivan in honor of the Russian dictator since he was (and still is) a huge bully to the guppies. I used to have a larger Oscar, but sadly he didn't survive the trip to my new home... the guppies were small enough for that Oscar to eat, but this one has not yet grown into them.

Fluffy: I got Fluffy yesterday from the same location that I got Ivan. It's very low maintenance and helps to absorb some nitrates and phosphorus from the water. It also "outcompetes" most algae by stealing their nutrients. Nice little ornament.

Sushi: I got Sushi as a tiny, tiny baby guppy that was accidentally scooped into the bag when I was purchasing a Molly to give to a friend. It lived for a while in that tank, but she didn't want it so I took it back. He kept his previous name. He has lived with two Oscars large enough to eat him for a total of about six months, yet has survived. He appears to have not ever been the father of any of the many litters of baby guppies I've had. The remaining guppies are all female (as the males are generally smaller and have been devoured by Ivan) and all of them are relatives of an original group of three guppies (including Sushi).
