Shawn McCraney Is The Worst Sinner On Earth Video
Read 1. timothy 1, 15. Religious people will love this video - they get a chance to point a finger and judge - but will mormons open their heart and be honest to?
MrBjstarr: Right on TheSavedSinner...you say it so well! I know you live in Utah and witness to the LDS all the time too. God Bless you. You and I (and Jesus) know that the caller is as bad a sinner as Shawn, and you and I are. I pray the caller realizes his ture state, and that grace is there for him, Not "After all he can do!" HE CANT DO ANYTHING but trust in the Lord Jesus. May God continue to bless your ministry SavedSinner. Keep up the "good work!"
smartwarlord: @rpavich Why can't a man be the Pharisee, yet still know of his sins personally and is open about them before God alone? I'm in the middle of the two. Would always like to hear someone's opinion on the matter. Most of my sins are "typical" of my age.
rpavich: Smart, Well...the reference made was a Pharisee who had a proud heart...Jesus juxtaposed this guy with the tax collector.. That's not to say that there were NO Pharisees who were of a right mind...nor does it mean that the tax collectors were all humble guys... Just that in this particular situation...they were being referenced.
smartwarlord: @rpavich Well that was the obvious answer, I wanted you to actually think though and tell me is there a middle ground between the two.
MustardSeedish: The more I learn how holy my God is, the more I want to fall I my face and thank Him for saving such a wretched, twisted failure that I am. His grace comes out in ways that I would over NEVER of done on my own. What beautiful evidence of His supernatural redemption and indwelling that can't even be discribed by human words. I know exactly what you're talking about Shawn. The only good that comes out of me is because of Him who is mighty to save.
rpavich: Smart, Oh...I get what you're asking... Well..the issue, the way I see it is this... On the level of "men being compared to other men" then yes...we all are a mixture of good and bad... But in God's eyes....the standard is different. When you say that your sins are typical...I'd agree but what's the significance there? So everyone you know lust, lie, and covet.... That doesn't help the situation nor does it excuse anything... We are all fighting for "1st loser in Hell"... Without Christ...
ArmyBuckeye84: thank you shawn! I love your ministry and the success you bring. keep it up!!
darizzle7: Amen
HarmonyinJesus: Why does it seem that the Mormons who call in are incapable of letting Shawn finish a sentence without interrupting? It's horribly rude of them.
Canonri: I agree that everything God comes from Christ. I believe that it was wrong of that man to phone in to put you down. You like any other man or women on this earth are trying to simply live your life and get your point of view out there. As it says in the bible we should love another.
strucjk: Awesome Dude!!! Keep up the good teaching. More people need to know this.
IloveChrist2: I love you Shawn, we are ALL sinners. LDS need to understand we all sin there is no worthiness as their so called Temple Recommend says.... Keep up the good work, the Lord is with you Shawn.
digigirl02: Well said, if it wasn't for Jesus' sacriface, none of us would be able to make it.
pibsy63: Bless you for your honesty, give Jesus all the glory, Praise the Lord for what he has done in your life and what he will do in your life. We are saved by grace and nothing of our works or self righteousness. I wish more people in the public eye so to speak would deflect attention from themselves and direct it to Jesus as you have.. Praise the Lord
johnyjamie: Canonri, It wasn't just his point of view. It's a fact. God says "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" Rom 3:23 "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Rom 5:8 "Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law." Rom 3:28
mormonanswerman: Shawn says: "Shawn McCraney, the man sitting right in front of you right now, here on the stage, is, not was, but IS a selfish alcoholic, a prescription drug addict, a rabid adulterer, a sexual deviant and a violent man." How does Born Again jibe with this excuse? Holiness is something that a christian SHOULD seek. John was HOLY. Mark 6: 20 For Herod feared John, knowing that he was a just man and an HOLY, Luke 1:70 As he spake by the mouth of his HOLY PROPHETS
mormonanswerman: Shawn is teaching to make EXCUSES for our Natural Man. He says there is nothing he can do about it. Wrong. He could become HOLY if he repents and follows Christ fully and with faith.
mormonanswerman: A HOLY PROPHET wrote: Mosiah 3: 19 For the natural man is an enemy to God, and has been from the fall of Adam, and will be, forever and ever, unless he yields to the enticings of the Holy Spirit, and putteth off the natural man and becometh a saint through the atonement of Christ the Lord, and becometh as a child, submissive, meek, humble, patient, full of love, willing to submit to all things which the Lord seeth fit to inflict upon him, even as a child doth submit to his father.
mormonanswerman: This is NOT awesome teaching. It is the gospel of excuses where sins are justified. But Mercy will NOT rob Justice in the end. Alma 42: 25 What, do ye suppose that mercy can rob justice? I say unto you, Nay; not one whit. If so, God would cease to be God.
rodwyr: Shawn is teaching that Jesus can save the VILEST sinner. He has repented, asked Jesus into his life, and follows Christ "fully and with faith". He acknowledges who he is in the FLESH, capable as anyone else (including ANY LDS) to commit ANY sin under the sun, and who he is in Christ, FULLY redeemed. Sure, we can strive to do better, but us finite humans CANNOT live up to the infinite standard of God. That's why Jesus and Him ALONE bridges that infinite gap. He's the only One who can.
TheGreatRebuker: The "natural" man is an enemy against God. It is when we submit to the will of God by obeying His word and yielding to the Lordship of Christ that the flesh can be crucified.
beshxo: lol why are you quoting the book of Mormon as if it's scripture?
strucjk: Well, we could go on and start quoting verses. That though wouldn't settle the matter. I don't think he is making excuses. He is being very honest. I doubt that you could be that honest if you would think that your afterlife depends on not sinning. I am curious do you never ever sin?
mormonanswerman: He is being honest? How do you commit adultery and lust after other women and not be dishonest to your wife? How do you be honest and call yourself a christian while holding anger and malice in your heart? An honest hypocrite? No, saying you are christian while behaving a different way is NOT honest. 1 Cor. 13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. Anger and temper are NOT charity, so brass...
strucjk: Yes I think he is being honest. To talk about your sins in such an open way takes courage. You are totally right about temper and anger not being charity. The thing is though I don't think that Shawn wants to stay in his anger and the other sins he mentioned. I think we can both agree that one should get rid of these sins. But all he is saying is, that the fact that he has sin in his life has nothing to do with him being saved by god. Jesus died for these sins. John 3:16.
