Biodiversity of the Tana River Delta Video

The Tana River Delta is one of the most important wetlands in Africa, but it is under serious threat from a proposal to turn part of it into sugarcane plantations for sugar production and 'eco-friendly' biofuels.

We have been supporting Nature Kenya and BirdLife International in their campaign against the development, and in their efforts to promote more sustainable patterns of development for the Delta to ensure its protection.

Join Joseph and Diwayu as they take a boat trip along the Tana River to see the wildlife and people that depend on this river, and that would be affected by the sugarcane plantation.
