BoostingInHalo3: too bad he got dominated for all 5 rounds, with the exception of that rear naked at the end of rnd 3. Only reason he got that off was because it looked like Shields was surprised by it and Miller caught him off guard. Not a good fight for Miller, showing he has a lot to improve on if he wants to compete with the elite in MMA.

BoostingInHalo3: How could you not be proud of that? Have you ever seen Randy Couture fight? he doesnt even go for the KO or submission. He wears you down and subtly wins the round. Winning in MMA isnt about the flashy knockouts, its about the technical part of the sport. People who watch MMA just to see 2 guys stand up and throw bombs are just stupid. ANYBODY could walk into a cage and let their fists fly. All that talent and training is put into the technical part of their game.

AlexMoon770: Dominated ? And Shields got caught by luck that s right ? If Mayhem has shown something in this fight it is that NO One can finish him, yes he is beateable since he lost 7 times, but out of a miraculous Frank Trigg win a few years ago, Miller has been pretty consistent and is one of the most underrated and well balanced fighters on his weight classes (either MW or WW). And stop acting like he is not good, he is extremely good, Shields is a BJJ Wizard and a top 3-5 MW/WW Easily.

BoostingInHalo3: He got one submission attempt in and got absolutely dominated and controlled for the rest of the fight. If you were counting the control in that fight, 24 minutes went to Jake Shields, and maybe a minute went to Miller. Yes, nobody can finish him, but what did he do positive that fight? he seemed perfectly happy to sit on the bottom and let Shields take that fight. There was no urgency in any of the rounds. He basically gave Shields the win. I lost all respect for Miller after that domination.

StillOnThatPlayerShi: its a matter of opinion. i didnt say anything about flashy knockouts or "throwing bombs". a win is a win but boring is boring. randy couture is a boring wrestler as well. i never said anything about either one of them being a bad fighter because jake is a dominate fighter.

BoostingInHalo3: well if you find that boring then i suggest you dont watch MMA anymore. I found that fight extremely entertaining. I would rather watch Randy Couture over Brock Lesnar, or Brett Rogers any day, just because Couture can stand up and exchange, as well as take it to the clinch or the ground and dominate there as well. This fight showed that Miller is a 1 dimensional fighter. As good as his BJJ is, Shields exposed him in this match, and proved just how far Miller is from being a contender.

Forgot the monkey rolls to take better position....And again Shields fought a pretty conservative fight and if someone was about to finish the fight it s Mayhem , plain and simple. Fine if he disappointed you but don t make people believe he is no good cause he is a tremendous athlete who took the beatdown of a career against

AlexMoon770: GSP for nearly three rounds but never surrender and managed to even mount briefly the best WW in history in the end of the fight. Miller has heart and skills, anyone without such skills would have gotten subbed by Shields. It's like criticizing Jon Fitch for getting murdered by GSP for five rounds. Yes Shields is better than Miller on the ground, he is a BJJ Wizard and a top 3-5 WW easily. I watched the fight with many people at home and all of them thought Mayhem was underrated

AlexMoon770: and did more to finish the fight and entertain the crowd than the ultra bland and one dimentionnal Shields (his stand up is totally doubtful, good luck against GSP or Hendo son) who is as charismatic as a tooth pick. Mayhem is the kind of fighter I want to see, entertaining, colorful AND skilled, love it or not.
