edub629: and the black male i was talking about in my original comment was kanye west, not the video poster.
MagnificotheGreat: it was a quick pic they said she took pics with about 100 people that night have u seen celebrities takin pics they go from person to person i know for a fact she does not hate jews and the JH on taylors dress it does not stand for jew hater it stands for julianne hough cause that was her date to the party and julianne had TS on her legs for taylor Swift i dont think she is racist its her first offence so give her a break if another incident comes up then then maybe ill believe but no not this
Tbryan35: because being black is sooooo hard huh? it bothers me that blacks claim slavery was the worst thing that has ever happened....while jews have been persecuted since jesus was around. they were even blamed for the black plague. killed just for being jewish. almost 6 million jews died during Hitler's reign of 10 years. SIX MILLION!!!. maybe a thousand blacks died in 400 years.stop saying being black is sooooo difficult that you cant get through your days. that you are surrounded by racists.your not
Tbryan35: and its not a fucking international hate for jews....
MIvarsson99: I SWEAR that the very first time I saw her face I told everyone that she was a closet Nazi. I've studied this and watched a documentary about nazi-rock. Her face looks like a Nazi youth face.
MIvarsson99: Stupid bastard, it is irrelevant that the swastika predates the nazis. All that matters to this situation is what Taylor and that boy associate the swastika with. And I guarantee you that they associate it with the holocaust and the mass murder of jews.
celestialnubian: To MIvarsson99, Yes, facts are "irrelevant" to emotionally imbalanced people. What was your intent by calling me a "Stupid bastard"? You do not know my intellect or my linage. So was your statement intended to insult me or make me feel bad. If so then congratulations, you have taken your first step to being a Nazi. Atrocities usually start with the sort of disrespect and name calling that you display.
MIvarsson99: Facts are irrelevant when they are unrelated to a discussion or topic. It is a FACT that Nixon tried to destroy the evidence that damned him in the Watergate scandal. Would you like to mention this as well and link it to Taylor Swift? The pre-WWII meaning of the swastika is irrelevant when the swastika is used by a teenager as a communicative form of expression in modern day America. The teenager is almost certainly oblivious or indifferent to the pre-Nazi meaning of the symbol.
MIvarsson99: Further, even if this kid were aware of the historic meaning of the symbol, he knows what the swastika communicates to the rest of the world outside the narrow confines of academia. Which is his audience?? Do you seriously think he took this picture as a way of communicating with an elite few who are aware of the esoteric meaning of the swastika as a Zen symbol? If you think this then you simply have no common sense and your thoughts are dangerously surreal.
celestialnubian: To MIvarsson99, This poster was not ranting about Nixon or Watergate. Did you bring them up due to the weakness of your assertions? You've obviously never been to a crowded reception or industry party. Irrespective of her core beliefs, If you think Taylor would knowingly jeopardize her career by intentionally posing with a guy wearing a swastika then that is your conclusion. I however don't think she would. And thus this guys rant is still misguided.
MIvarsson99: Dumb son of a bitch: I mentioned Nixon and Watergate because the poster said that facts are never irrelevant. Therefore, I pointed out facts that were CLEARLY irrelevant in order to prove him wrong.
MIvarsson99: Also, Taylor did more than pose with him. She danced with him. She is not making a personal decision to jeopardize her career. She is being controlled by the white power movement. They are using her to get their message across and to make it mainstream.
celestialnubian: To MIvarsson99, Remember you are the one who addressed me with the issue of relevancy. You said that the origin of the symbol was irrelevant. You then proceeded to try and bolster your case by bringing up Nixon. That's ironic because the video was not about Nixon. If someone is going to get upset over a symbol then I think that the origin of that symbol is very relevant. Of course it is hard to have an intelligent exchange of ideas with someone who just wants to be insulting.
MIvarsson99: I am going to explain this very slowly because I'm starting to believe that you suffer from mental retardation. You clearly implied that facts are always relevant. You said "facts are irrelevant to emotionally unbalanced people" Remember?! I brought up Nixon as an example of a FACT that is....IRRELEVANT even to emotionally stable people. Please say that you are not so stupid as to still not understand.
MIvarsson99: The origin of the symbol is not relevant to this discussion for all of the reasons I have already mentioned. 1. The entire world now recognizes the swastika as a symbol of murder and genocide. 2. Teenagers rarely understand any other meaning of the swastika other than what Hitler assigned to it. 3. The expressive act of painting a swastika at a celebrity birthday party cannot reasonably be deemed as addressing scholars rather than every day people...
MIvarsson99: Lastly, the boy's swastika is slanted at the same angle that the Nazi party tilted their symbol. The pre-WWII swastika was not tilted, so there can be absolutely no mistake as to his intent. There is a picture on wikipedia of Taylor Swift playing guitar with Iron Crosses drawn on the strap. The Iron Cross was the Nazi army's decoration, equivalent to our purple heart. Let this be all, fool.
celestialnubian: To MIvarsson99, No, the "entire world" does not recognize the swastika as a symbol of murder and genocide. You must not be very well traveled. I think you assume too much. You attack someone for standing next to someone else who is wearing a symbol whose meaning to the person wearing it is unknown to you. You assume a malicious intent yet you don't know the young man or Taylor. But you are willfully disrespectful and hateful so you may be closer to a Nazi than some guy with paint on his shirt.
MIvarsson99: Uhhhh...yes they do. The world equates this symbol with the mass killing of Jews.
MIvarsson99: It was confirmed that this boy DANCED with Taylor, not just took a picture with him. People convict people of intent based crimes all the time without knowing the criminal defendants. They do so because they have EVIDENCE.
MIvarsson99: She danced with a boy who has a red swastika painted on his shirt. Then she took a photo with him. She has iron crosses painted on some of her own guitar straps. This is evidence that she is a neo-nazi. I"m through with you. Please stop putting on academic airs and start filling your head with common sense.
celestialnubian: To MIvarsson99, My life experience and academic learning has taught me the danger of both malice and certainty in assumption. Since I don't know the boy, I cannot be certain of his mind. BTW, I did not see the part where she "danced" with him but I would think it quite unfair if I were to be judged based on every girl I ever danced with. - I think that instead of judging and insulting people you don't know, you should look into your own heart and purify it. That is how the world can be better.
MIvarsson99: Check TMZ to learn that she danced with him. Check wikipedia to see the Iron Crosses on her guitar strap. I think your education has taught you to be dangerously unrealistic. Insulting people is perfectly fun and healthy. Advocating the rise of the 4th reich is not. How someone can be offended by the former and not the latter is truly mystifying to me but I will leave you to your own opinion.
celestialnubian: To MIvarsson99, At last we have come to the point of honest disagreement and not childish name calling. For insulting people is the second step to genocide. - You see malice whereas I recognize that I don't have enough information to make such a judgment. To impugn someone's character falsely is more than I am willing to do even in such an anonymous setting. It is possible that the boy was not trying to offend. It is more than probable that Taylor was not paying attention to his attire.
Statspoilizie: Ni99er!!! Heil Histler!
twizzlertyler: When Taylor Swift poses with a guy with a swastika on his chest, everyone gets their underwear in a twist but rappers put racial slurs like nigger in their raps all the time and no one says anything. The pictures of Taylor 'dancing' with this guy clearly show her dancing by herself with this lunatic trying to dance behind her. I don't think Taylor Swift - a girl who heavily relies on her feelings and the feelings of others for her job- would do this purposely. He probably just grabbed her.
