It's Going To Be Okay - Episode 19 Part 2 Video

Demi: (Worried, she wipes her tears) Is what true?
Joe: Cody did this to you? All of it?
Demi: (Nods her head)
Joe: I had no idea. Babe, Im sorry. Why didnt you tell me?Demi: (Looks down) I dont know. I was scared, I guess. I already had to tell you once and I couldnt find it in me to tell you again.
Joe: (Pulls her into a hug) I wish that you never would have had to go through any of this. Its me who he wanted to hurt. I cant believe I let this happen.
Demi: (Shakes her head) There was nothing you could do. Cody made me believe he was my friend, and he just had to prove that he really wasnt.
Nick: You know, I really cant see him trying anything else. I think he should know by now that one more thing, and there is no way he will get away with it.
Selena: Nicks right.
Joe: Maybe he is. But just in case, Dem, I dont think that us being around each other is a good idea anymore. If Cody were to do anything else I couldnt forgive myself. Its better off if we just stay away from each other (Kisses Demis hand, and stands up)
Demi: (Tears start to build in her eyes) Joe, dont do this. Please. I need you.
Joe: You need someone who wont let things like this happen to you. You need someone who can protect you, and not put you in situations like these. And apparently, thats not me. Im sorry, Demi.
Demi: (Starting to cry) Joe!
Joe: (Looks at her one more time, and then without saying anything he turns around and goes upstairs to his bedroom)
Demi: (Starts hyperventilating again)
Selena: Demi, Demi, breathe. Like this (breathes in and out slowly, making Demi mimic her breathing pattern)
Nick: He has no idea what hes doing, Demi. Hes just confused. Ill go talk to him, okay?
Demi: (Breathing normal once again, she sits up and shakes her head) Dont bother. He clearly wants nothing to do with me. Maybe hes right. We should just stay away from each other. Its probably better that he moves on anyways. Im such a wreck. He deserves better than me. (Stands up) Ill see you guys at school tomorrow (Leaves the house and starts walking home)
Selena: (Stands up too) I need to go after her.
Nick: (Walks over to Selena and pulls her into a hug) I think she just needs some time alone to think everything through right now, Sel. Im sure Joe will come around eventually and realize that they were supposed to be together.
Selena: She is in so much pain right now. I cant stand seeing my best friend go through something like this. What she said is true. She is slowly becoming an emotional wreck. And I just dont know what or if we can do anything to help her through it anymore.
Nick: (Still hugging her, he starts to stroke her hair. He then pulls away and looks her in the eyes) She will get through this, Sel. We can and will help her. She needs a little space right now, but starting tomorrow, we will all be there for her.
Selena: (Looks down) Except Joe, the one person she needs the most.
Nick: (Pulls her into another hug) I know. But everything will be okay. Eventually.
Selena: (Nods her head as a few tears roll down her cheeks)

*The rest of the night went by rather quickly. Nick and Selena had eaten supper, did their homework, and then fell asleep in each others arms.*

*Demi walked home alone and laid in her bed awake all night trying to understand why Joe would need to hurt her like this. Trying to figure out what she did wrong. But she couldnt understand why he would do this. He said he loved her, but she just couldnt figure it out. For the entire night, Demi stayed awake in her bed crying. Shed never loved anyone like that before and she wasnt ready to let him go just like that. But he obviously didnt want her anymore. Or he wouldnt do this. She didnt want to lose him, but she finally clued in to why he was doing this. He needed something new. Something that wasnt her.*
