Injuries and Illnesses: A Jonas Family Story~Chapter 4 Video
recap: Lexi is feeling better, Nick has a low-grade fever as thought by Kevin, Kevin is now ill, and Joe still hates school.
Kevins POV
"Paul Kevin Jonas Jr,!!! Get your butt down here right now!" I heard mom scream at me, infuriated that I had screamed at the family.
"Coming..." I said, coughing a lot suddenly after. I felt so sick, and I wish that my siblings would have understood that before telling mom on me. I was eighteen and I was scared of my mom's punishments. I noe, pathetic right? I miserably walked down the stairs to be faced with my mother.
"I heard you yelled at your brothers and sisters Kevin? Do you care to explain?" she question, still with a tone of anger in her voice.
"Mom, I just feel so sick and they barged into my room; my space. They all started arguing and I got frustrated. Im sorry." I said, still having pain all throughout my body.
"Alright then, you apploigize to them then get up to bed. You look horrible Kev. Get some rest and I'll be up soon," she promised as she walked into the kitchen. I walked into the living a room and went up to my siblings.
"What happened to you?" Lexi exclaimed, as if she hadn't heard my previous outburst.
"Im sick. Now I'm very sorry for yelling at all of you. I lost all my self control because of my migrane. Please forgive me and leave me at rest for today. If you need anything, mom is home," I said clearly, so they would understand to leave me the heck alone today. I then proceded up to my room and climbed into bed, getting comfortable.
For the rest of the day, I layed in bed and slept, making occasional visits to the bathroom to eject the contents of my stomach. I felt basically faint and fragile, like I would fall apart if I had tried to get up. Mom checked on me periodically making sure my fever stayed in control and that I wasn't getting dehydrated from puking all day. By the end of the day, I was so exhausted from making all those trips to the bathroom that I carried a wastebin to my bed so I didn't have to get up. I fell asleep short after, sleeping throughout the entire night.
When I awoke the next morning, I had a migrane that felt like it would kill me. It was so bad, I almost cried. There was no way in hell that I was getting up today, so I called my girlfriend Molly. I wanted someone to talk to that understood me.
"Hey Kev," she greeted cheerfully.
"Hey." I remarked, sounding quite ill.
"What's wrong? Tell me the truth!" she questioned. I loved how she knew something was wrong. It was a good quality.
"I'm so sick. I can't even move, but I wanted to talk to you," I said sweetly trying to get her to let a giggle. Her laugh always made me feel better inside. Of course she giggled like I wanted her to do.
"You are so adorable Kev!" she said, cutely.
"Awww! You're adorable too!" I responded.
"Well, unfortunately, I have to go. I'll talk to you later. Feel better!" she soothingly said, as she clicked off her phone.
I just layed in bed and slept all day, not eating anything all day. I wasn't hungary enough to eat. Now I know how Joe and Nick felt on family dinner night! Joe had gone to his "girlfriends" house. Her name is Serena, and she is a year older than Joe. The only reason I let them stay "together" and don't tell mom is because she's smart, and she tutors him occasionally. They were actually also with Dani and her friend Melanie working on their "band". They loved their music deeply, and I was proud that Joe was taking interest in something. They were gunna be gone for a while so the house was fairly quiet. Mom and dad we both home, but they were busy doing whatever it is they do, like laundry or something. Nick and Lexi were at a neighbor's house, I think. Alls I knew is that no one was home except mom and dad. Everything was so peaceful, so I fell into a deep sleep.
I woke up the next morning feeling 100% better than yesterday. I could finally breath through my nose; it was a good feeling! For once, no one in the family was sick, or injured. This day happens basically like once every two months I would say. We were a hectic, disfunctional family, but oh well. I got up, got dressed, and headed out the door to colledge. Even though I was only seventeen, I was attending a colledge. I was too smart for my grade so they bumped me up when I was in middle school. I never got to experience the seventh grade. I was a freshman in my community colledge, and I loved it there. I was glad to be better.
Later on that same day after a hard day at school, I arrived home to see mom in a depressed mood. She looked as if she had been crying. None of the kids were home yet, so I asked her what had happened.
"Hey mom. Whats the matter?" I asked, concerned that something horrlible had happened.
"Your grandmother, my mother, died today." she stated as she burst out into tears.
"Its ok mom. Let it all out. We'll all be here for you. I love you mom, and I loved granny too. Im gunna miss her mom," I said, also crying.
