Sam Verlinden New Zealand's Pride and Joy! Video
Sam Verlinden is one of the most outstanding young performers ever. He captured the title of "Overall Junior Champion of the World" at the World Championship of Performing Arts in Hollywood California in 2008. Sam performs in at least two Musicals every year. This year, in 2009 he played the lead roll in Tommy and one of Fagin's boys in Oliver. In addition he will be performing in the Coca Cola Christmas Program in Auckland this Christmas Season. I know he will go far and hope I'm still around to see him sing the NZ National Anthem and kick off the ball for the All Blacks on the same evening.

There are 1000 nice things I could say about Sam, but the bottom line is that he he's got real super talent, great taste in music, he knows how to use his talent, he loves busking out at the markets as much as he does performing onstage... and he's a well-rounded, humble chap who would never let fame go to his head. I'll save his other 995 great qualities for another post! : )
