RP has been a well-known Libertarian for decades. Huckabee's concern for social justice and the common people, and disdain for the political elite, carries strong populist themes. They are issues that conservatives typically shy away from.

"a rising tide lifts all boats" the new repubs forgot that message and have made a money grab. and tripled the size of gov. the founding fathers were populist, going over George's head and appealing to the "common ppl"
