The Down Side of the Canadian Healthcare System Video

This proves what I've been saying for years. Canadian healthcare isn't as great as what these healthcare reformers want you to believe. Granted that our healthcare system is too dependent on insurance companies and that's too expensive, but that doesn't other systems work! Research before you condemn.
The Canadian healthcare is free, woohoo....BUT it costs tax payers a lot. Canadian pay through their noses in taxes. Plus, because it's free, there's no incentives to improve on service for the patients. People are dying on the waiting list and doctors don't care to give good service beause they're paid just the same, no matter what. When will people learn socialism doesn't work?

honda2fast4u: Look at Canadian healthcare, they are under funded and their population is about 34 million people. The USA has about 304 million people, how much more will we be underfunded. ITs not going to work for the USA. Americans need to work on ways to be less in debt and place more into savings and paying for insurance, Adjust your budget accordingly.
honda2fast4u: Reforming into someone elses plan isn't going to work because they have issues too. we need to tune up the healthcare not reform it. Tweek not overhaul. Placing policies that restrict insurance companies, making doctors and hospitals more liable.
cleanmrbroadway: if you got the money its life threatning. so go ahead spend the money.
Juanster23: Such drivel, my father in law, at 90 years of age, had arrhythmia and needed treatment. He was seen within 3 weeks by the specialist and the week after he got a pacemaker. He is followed up closely by the team of cardiologists and of course, he did not pay a cent directly. By the way, Canada spends far less for H. Care and gets better results. I live in Canada. I pay taxes but nothing that will bankrupt my family. My father in law is low income and does not pay taxes. It would be sad in the USA.
gplito: Anything coming from Fox is just so much bullshit, and all the pretend Canadians here lamenting their health care are just so full of shit as well. Actually having health-care is better than not having health care. Or having high deductible, basically unusable bullshit health-care, all of which can be canceled in the blink of an accountants eye. Are all Americans really as stupid as this?
BoojumFed: I notice that this guy never mentioned that the was fully reimbursed by his provincial government's health plan... Anyone who has a life-threatening situation in Canada does not wait. The whole reason that people have to wait is because they have non-life-threatening issues, such as cysts, of joint problems, and the people who need care immediately get first dibs. (Go figure.) "... how many Canadians every year die because of waiting lists."? About half of a fraction of a percent.
BoojumFed: People don't understand that because we live in a country that proves that it works perfectly well. When it comes to militant police, unfortunately you guys down south of the 49th parallel have much bigger problems than we do up here. And we spend less on healthcare than you do, (Because its an upfront cost that we don't have to add constant rate hikes, co-payments, medical equipment fees, or any of that crap to.) get equally good if not better service, and waste less on admin costs.
BoojumFed: Yes we have issues, but they are nothing compared to the problems you guys face. I suppose you're unwilling to upgrade your car until a perfect one that is completely maintanance-free, eco-friendly, tax-deductable, self-washing, and smells of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies comes out onto the market, too. No-one is suggesting that it's a perfect system, but every non-politicized study on the planet points to it being a vastly better one than the one you guys're stuck with.
murphyj87: Yet 45,000 Americans die each year because they're denied the treatment they need in the US insurance-run health care system. Americans love to promote the incurance takeover of health care in the US even though it kills 122 of their fellow citizens EACH DAY. Canadians would never stand for that, but Americans love it. For every Canadian horror story there are at least 1500 American horror stories.
murphyj87: The fact is that thousands of Americans come to Canada for treatment compared to the handful of Canadian rich who go for treatment in the US because it's a ststus symbol to be able to afford US insurance-run health care, while millions of Americans are denied by the Americans system and 45,000 a year die.
murphyj87: And insurance-run health care in the US kills 45,000 Americans a year by rationing their health care by wealth and profit. Thare are more than 1500 US horror stories for every single Canadian horror stories. Americans allowed the insurnace takeover of health care to kill them. That's why 92% of Canadaians would never touch US style insurance-run health care.
murphyj87: Since I came to Canada I have health care that's twice as good in both access and quality than I EVER had when I lived in the US with insurance-run health care. I've had surgery in Canada in far less time than I had to wait for the insurance company bureaucrat between me and my physician to approve surgery in the US.

The insurance company of health care in the US kills 45,000 Americans each year, while in Canada those 45,000 people would be ALIVE. With insurance-run health care, they're DEAD.

Sam26100: Stefan Molyneux lives in Mississauga Canada, and he compares the healthcare system to that in Soviet Russia, so does Paul Mckeever who lives in Ontario
MattNOntario: I know it is B.S., If I had a life threatening condition, I think I would have to cross the border too. I really hope this doesn't happen in the us, The only places in the us with bad health care is overpopulated cities like NewYork etc. This guy had the right idea going to oklahoma.
numnunums: hmm Fox News what a surprise. They're just like Iran with their propaganda.
jensen1901: Fox news lies.
BoojumFed: Very true, SuperMMfan. I wonder what the logistics for a Canadian Citizen mass tort lawsuit vs. Fox News & Republican Media would be for such an obvious case of libelous slander? I'd sign up for that in a heartbeat if the international courts had the balls to hold these lying pricks to their decision...
