IN LOVING MEMORY OF Paula T. Holm 1953-2009 Video
Newburyport - Paula T. Holm
Paula Thurber Holm of Newburyport died March 21, 2009. After having lived more than six full, active, productive and loving years with ovarian cancer, the disease finally prevailed.
Born in Toledo, Ohio, in January 1953, daughter of Kathleen M. Holm (deceased) and Bart E. Holm, she is survived by her children, Ryan M. Bonner and Lauren H. Bonner; her husband, Bruce L. Vogel; her father, Bart E. Holm and stepmother, Maryanna W. Holm, of West Grove, Pa.; her sister, Janet H. Gerber of Rockville, Md.; her brother, Craig E. Holm of Radnor, Pa.; an aunt, Win Masson of Hudson, Ohio; and five beloved nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Holm attended local schools in Wilmington, Del., and graduated from the University of Delaware in 1975. She lived in Marblehead and Newburyport for more than 20 years while she enjoyed her first career with Trans World Airlines. She began her second career by completing two masters degrees in special education and as a reading specialist. She took this knowledge to work at North Shore Technical High School in Middleton, heading out the door each morning as though she were going to visit family and friends. She truly loved working there.
Always the loving mother and always active, Mrs. Holm completed 16 marathons (13 in Boston) and played tennis. She also enjoyed biking, sailing, concerts, the outdoors, traveling the world and Scrabble.
