MicMogul: This is a great upload, very interesting to see. I wonder where the TX site pictured is? Tucked away somewhere, I have a brochure for aggregation, in the following years reminding viewers of the change. Would love to see any clips of the 'further information regarding this change' as broadcast at 0:26 ABC was also required to clear from VHF 3 at the same sites too.
MicMogul: Looking at my 1990 DOTC Broadcasting Stations book: Murwillumbah's TX site was Mays Hill, for UHF it shifted 16 Km WNW to Springbrook. Elevation went from ~260m ASL to ~940m ASL, ERP 25 to 5000 watss. No VHF 3 ABC there. At Bonalbo & Kyogle, ERP increased from 5 to 100 & 150 watts respectively in line with shift to UHF, 12-15dB up (and wattage 'doubled' later). All sites fed from Mt Nardi main TX, including Tenterfield, 142 km away at ~1280 ASL, that's pretty good.
