Prince Rahiem (real name: Rahiem Thomas) is a Miami Bass rapper who was a member of The Get Funky Crew, along with fellow Miami Bass rapper/producer Beatmaster Clay D, who made a number of Miami Bass hit singles during the mid 1980s to early 1990s. Prince Rahiem had a rapid fire nasal delivery that blended with the fast paced booming beats of Miami Bass Music .
The Get Funky Crew released their first album, You Be You and I Be Me, in 1988, and dropped the singles, 'Rock The House', and 'Do Your Duty'. The group's second album, Shake Them, that had the hit 'Shake Them Titties' in 1989. The duo's third album, released in 1990 under the stage name "Beatmaster Clay D & Prince Raheim", had the singles 'Pull It All the Way Down', 'Keep Dancin', and the track 'Skin To Win' that wasnt on the album, but released on 12'' single.
Prince Rahiem eventually went solo and released his first album, Loose My Money, in 1992, which produced the singles, 'Loose My Money' and 'Do It, Do It', that were huge hits. His second album, On A Ride, released in 1994, wasn't as popular as his earlier material. He has produced for other Miami Bass artists as well as R&B artists in the 1990s, and still on the music scene doing ghostwriting and producing.
