sideburns2009: this isn't illegal or against policy or anything. It's understood that the engine is basically glued together. If they buy a part off of it, its probably filled with sodium silicate.

sideburns2009: they are crushed, after the reusable parts are recycled, hence the requirement of the sticker they had to put on the engine, so someone will not try to buy the engine. all other parts can be sold. an alternator or door panel will not polute the environment.

AlSmith1964: You need to lookup the definition of "recycle" the liberals want these cars recycled. Selling the parts is not recycling, but I don't care. sideburns2009: @AlSmith1964 i don't need to look anything up. I know how the program worked and the rules of it. The only rule was: the engine had to be disabled so it could not be put on the streets again....running, in another car, or the same car. Didn't say the doors and other parts had to be destroyed. It will be back early next year anyway...

sideburns2009: whether or not someone bought the head, or it was sold, oil flows through the head, there for sodium silicate was pumped through it during the time of destruction. sodium silicate has to be heated to 5000 degress to liquify, so I doubt the person that bought the head is actually using it. Of course, if I were there, I would take the head off a jag anyday just too look...especially a C4C to see the damage...
