Electronically Modified Didgeridoo Kyle Evans Video

Electronically Modified Didgeridoo Kyle Evans

I created this instrument to experiment in the combination of the organic sound qualities of a didgeridoo with the advanced signal processing capabilities of modern computer programming and sound synthesis. This custom built didgeridoo features externally mounted modules that allow the performer to process and manipulate the sound of the instrument in real time. All control data is transmitted wirelessly via blue tooth and is controlling several audio processes created in a custom-built software environment. If you have any questions about the instrument please feel free to ask.

g8crsha: hows the latency using bluetooth?
yakthekyle: it exists but way too small to be a problem for how im using it
furrytummy: New to you and to many others... But definetly not new. :-)
Skhizma: nothing is new. get used to it!
MovieMad007: astonishing!!
Pejamusmaximus: astrological... very cool stuff man...
devjock: Kyle, this is beyond awesome. Also, you really are an avid didge player. Massive props all around.
sefalik: This is awesome! I started playing the didg because I love love how they sound, but I'm also into the more "modern" approach to drone music (stuff like Nadja--one of my favorite bands). I've always wanted to sort of combine those sides, and this has definitely given me some inspiration.
destination2013: That was brilliant and amazing. Both in engineering-wise, and musician-wise. It wasn't just technically interesting, it's a brief rest for the human soul
Undeadking538: Holy christ that was ridiculous totally would love to have one of those
pizbox: holy shit amazing
mathaig: i want one!!!!!
rubbd: FANTASTIC!
ElPat0: very good sound designing!
skiteam14: haha that is so sick
PercussionFiend: so, so, cool. great job!
TheSynthFreq: Awesome!
drogstyle: no , da-te-n mortii matii de prost!
kontube: very nice work man, i'm very impressed. now make me one! :)
farrellmike27: fake
yakthekyle: Ha Ha, please indulge me my friend, what about this is fake?
EastCoastSage: kyle, this is a work of genius. forgive the way i ask this, but did you design this all on your own? and if so, HOW? im planning on getting into sound recording when i transfer next year, so i can record my own music, and one of my instruments is the didg, so getting one of those would be more than fantastic. btw, i just checked out your site..that video on the home page with the tv is intriguing, but what the hell is it?
derzugfahrer: Really Awesome! I'd never seen that before - looks like a sniper rifle ;)
neroldrehpehs: my 1st thought as well ... some genius cop will think it's a 50cal sniper rifle ... very kewl
KillYourTeeVee: that is so badass. when are they gonna have these on musiciansfriend?
