How Do I Invite You to Grow Food? Video
Peak Moment 153: Jenny Pell's infectious enthusiasm will sweep you up into creating a future that's beyond sustainable — to one that's "additive". This lively permaculturist suggests that you belong where you live and get (re)connected to your "chain of inputs and outputs". She invites us to to regain skills, especially in food production, and to participate in creating abundance, which is "the only way forward, the only way for the human family to survive." estoboy29: we will be able to run cars once again on hemp growing it on top of our roofs in hydroponic system, imagine highways as greendome!
estoboy29: is evolution we need to take on is love and peace that means no more pain eating and keeping our lovey animals alive that too wanna progress! we will never progress unless all life is given the opportunity!
gavilan1973: I just want to say hi from Colima, Mexico. I became aware of Peak Oil and Permaculture just 5 months ago, i am growing some food in my backyard mostly with the Biointensive method and trying to pass the word around. Keep the good work and gratz.
davfritz: Dig a tunnel into the side of a hill, and make sure it is well hidden. Stock it with supplies to last 2 years. You might need it
marchbabymimi: FANTASTIC! We have lost so many skills, it's astounding. Wonderful to see people sharing their knowledge! Thank you for such a great interview!
peakmoment: You're on the right track--Keep it up. We have quite a few Conversations here on permaculture. Plus, we're pleased to announce a 6-DVD "Introduction to Permaculture" weekend workshop that is just dynamite. See it on the PeakMoment (dot) tv home page.
crewlla: If you used every part of your backyard and front yard and square box grow and vertical grow you can get so much out of your garden. This year I have not bought any vegtables at the store. I have over 20 pounds in onions and over 50 pounds in potatoes...........LoL I even learnt how to make beet soup. :)
crewlla: I learn how to do the gardening on my own. thank god I have a green tumb. Its really hard to find anyone to teach you skills to help yourself. gardening, canning, saving for later and sewing kniting and such are just being throwen to the waste side.
BlackFlagParty: Don't forget to dig around at the Libraries for old back issues of The Mother Earth News. They invented an "alternative wheel" 40 years ago. The "new" Mother Earth News doesn't hold a candle to the information in the back issues from the 70's-80's.
scarmenl: What a great video, my take on this is to take the permaculture approach and make more than we can make with our processes that poison everything. My plan is to grow large quantities of hemp for a cross business approach. This includes hemp oils for the health food businesses, building products that will out perform wood based products, fuel alcohol and hemp based concrete type product, back to building products and none of it will poison anything. The plants make all of it and keep giving also
aunthill167: Excellent video...as always!
jfrogto: You are always excellent, but this was exceptionally excellent. I would like a further video of a Permaculture Now! project to see them in action. Many thanks and greetings from germany
peakmoment: Thanks and a great idea...we're taping more tours and how-to shows nowadays (this was taped in our first year, 2006). I'll put Jenny on our wish list for future shows.
facethesouth: Terrific video - I'm inspired! Yes, please do more permaculture videos. Thank you!
trach83: I totally share the same opinion about what`s happening around the globe. I`m an architect and i`m worried that in my profession we`re heading not sustainable way. The saddest thing is that we already have technologies to manage water/heat/waste/electricity on site. Fortunately there are some people that think in this way - like Michael Reynolds, from the movie Garbage Warrior. I wish more people will get involved in permaculture and biotecture movements. Greetz from Poland!
Yellow2011: wow this makes me google more Jenny Pell
EnviroUpdate: Challenging topics and inspiring presentation! Thank you mam's! A truly excellent upload!
