Formed in 1990 by John Korsrud, The Hard Rubber Orchestra is an 18-piece ensemble that specializes in jazz, new music and performing the music of Canadian composers. HRO has released two CDs, traveled across Canada several times and to Europe and is the recipient of The 2006 Alcan Arts Award, the largest reward for creation in Canada. 2010 marks their 20th anniversary.
