wackeygurl: Although I tend to fall more on the side of the "Earth worshipping, indoctrinated youth," it is apparent to anyone educated in modern environmental studies, social justice, and even economics, that the practises outlined within the Earth Charter would greatly improve the quality of life and the sustainability of our species, as well as of other species on the planet. Even if this "Soft Law" document does increase the power of the UN. All the better. We ARE interdependant. Better realise that now
nxn8690: I don't have a car. Cause, I live walking distance from my work. This was done by my own design; I enjoy walking & thinking about my work, also it saves me money. Most of ppl did this in the past without thoughts about the environment. I call this 'natural way'. I believe in the environmental conservation in the degree: cleaning up after my mess, i.e. in my own practice there is no need for UN & their policies (or treaties), i.e. I oppose the environmentalism but I'm environmentally friendly.
nxn8690: I study Math, & I don't study modern environmental studies, or social justice. Perhaps, this illustrates the point which this vid is making, i.e. when you study those things, you get indoctrinated.
debtruth1: i agree with you on both of your replies....there is a difference between being environmentally aware and doing your part and a globally governed environmental "religion." also, i was a soc major in the early 80's.....amazing how much i have had to abolish in order to see straight. now i'd rather study statistics! :)
nxn8690: Thank you.
