Cheney: Possible Investigation By Obama "Outrageous Political Act" Video
Dick Cheney says that the Obama administration possibly pursuing an investigation of lawyers from the Bush administration regarding torture "an outrageous precedent to set," calling it an "intensely partisan politicized look back" at the prior administration.
"I think it's an outrageous political act that will do great damage long-term."
He added that the fact that the Obama administration is even thinking about such an investigation after their "track record of defending the nation" for eight years "offends the hell out of me."
He goes on to say that "advanced interrogation techniques" such as waterboarding were "absolutely essential."

NBKNZR: I didn't vote for the frauds Bush/Cheney, and on 99% of the issues they were wrong. But on this issue of waterboarding, I agree with them. And be sure, regardless of what team Obama says to the sheeple in public, they will have to be more realistic in private. Waterboarding, as practiced by the CIA is extremely effective and safe, although there are exceptions. Opposition to waterboarding is highly political in nature, with a highly pro-Palestinian, pro-Islamofascist slant.
pitbrand: We signed the treaty of the Geneva convention and we don't torture for one reason because we don't want our own troops to be tortured should they be caught in war time. If it is known that we do torture then the chance of our own soldiers that are caught would be treated the same is more than likely. I say this knowing that our soldiers and civilians have experienced this and far worse but when we act in the same we disregard the safety of future potential prisoners or our own military.

Videos done for demonstration purposes are EXTREMELY different than real world applications. Ask Christopher Hutchins or radio personality Mancow, both of whom volunteered to be waterboarded, if afterward they view it as torture.
NBKNZR: The CIA version of waterboarding utilized as part of their enhanced interrogation program is no where near the same as the form used against our soldiers in WWII. As you know, our soldiers were starved, multilated, beaten, AND THEN subjected to water torture. "Waterboarding" can be a highly equivocal term. The controversial episodes flaunted by liberal hypocrites are the exception not the rule. Waterboarding is not torture just because Obama says so. Bush and Obama both suck.
