Nick's POV--
Where'd Macy go? Why did she look so upset when she left? Should I go look for her? Woah, calm down Nick. Just breathe. Do I like Macy? I mean Like Like... I think I do. No I can't we're best friends, it would make our friendship wierd. Why am I talking to myself?
I asked my dad and Macy's grandma where she went and we all went inside. It was seriously empty. There were a few old people in there, but other than them the resturant was empty. I sorta liked it.
Grandma: Can you go find Macy for me?
Nick: Sure. Can you tell me why she was so upset?
Grandma: Well after the funeral, I'm going to Paris to visit some family and just have time to think. So when I go she'll be with you guys.
Nick: She doesn't want to be with us?
Grandma: No, she loves you guys. It's just that her grandpa promised her we'd take her this time. And I just need some time to myself.
Nick: Oh, okay.
Grandma: Can you convince her to go with you guys?
Nick: Sure; Well I'll do my best. You know how she is...
Grandma and Nick: She'll do what she wants. And not what other people tell her to...
I walked away and laughed to myself about Macy. I wonder where she could be. I walked up and down the rows of tables and booths, looking under each to see if she was sitting there. I asked the owner if I could look in the kitchen, not there. I looked out back, not there. The last place or places were the bathrooms... I'm pretty sure she had only one choice so I went into the mens br. Knowing Macy, she would do that... But she wasn't in there. I guess I have to go into the womens... if the door's unlocked. (A/n it's the type of bathroom where only one person can go in) What does it even look like in there. I jiggled the doorknob. Then, surprisingly, the door opened. I walked in... --I bet some of the old people thought I was confused.--I closed the door behind me and looked around. There was Macy, curled up in a ball rocking back and forth. I shuddered at the flashback i got.
*Flashback*
Macy was sitting in a corner balling her eyes out. I remember that day. I think it was the first day I saw her after her dad had beat her up. Kevin was there, we wanted her and Krissy to come play. Kristen was fine but not Macy. Their dad let them come over and repeatedly yelled at Macy to stop crying. When Kevin asked what happened to her, her dad told us that she fell off her bed. Kevin then proceeded to pick Macy up and bring her to our house. Kevin held her like my parents used to when we were really little. She clung to him like she would die if she didn't... now I know why...
*End of flashback*
Nick: Hey Mace.
Macy: *Just looks at him* Wh-wha-what are you duh-duh-doing in he-here? It's th-the gi-girls room...
Nick: *Locks the door* Yeah, I know... *Sits next to her and pulls her into a tight hug*
Macy: *Sniffles and wipes her nose on a paper towel; looks down*
Nick: *Wipes her tears away* Hey, look here. *Macy looks up at him* What's wrong?
Macy: Life.
Nick: But I'm here.
Macy: Yeah. No offense, but that doesn't cheer me up to much...
Nick: None taken; How can I make you happy?
Macy: ...
Nick: Take you to Disneyland?
Macy: Uhm.. whaat?
Nick: Well, I heard that it's the happiest place on earth.
Macy: *Thinking to herself* Well whoever said that has never been in your arms... *Smiles and looks at him*
Nick: Your grandma told me about her trip to Paris. I promise that if you come with us we'll have a party!:)
Macy: ... -.-
Nick: Pweeeease!!
Macy: -.-
Nick: *gets all up in her face and puppydog pouts*
Macy: Haha, fine. But only cause you're my bestie:)
Nick: Good. Come on, let's go get some food.
I'm glad she decided to come with us. :)
